Flitton’s
Nursery was founded in 1964. Audrey and Dennis took over a run down site and formed a profitable market garden and plant area. As time went on the site evolved, and the Nursery progressed into a haven for
perennial lovers. Today as before the majority of the stock is grown on site.
Audrey and her two daughters
have run the Nursery for the past 20 years, during which time they have developed a range of master classes for creating hanging
baskets and other workshops. Their skills were recognized
in 2005 when they won a Gold Medal at the Hampton Court Flower Show for their baskets and tubs. The following year they entered another category, out of their skill set, and returned home with a Silver medal
for their Pink, Black and Silver theme. Today they keep their sights on the highest level of professionalism.
The sales area
still retains its speciality in perennials and has developed to include other horticultural areas especially vegetables and
fruit, and more recently roses.
Gone are the old buildings and a retail area has grown, geared to their business
aims and also with a touch of fun. The family have always strived to be the best in their field and this shows by
the number of clients they have, not only for the classes but in the quantity of replants they do for Autumn and Summer.
The Nursery is run by a small but dedicated team
who will happily help you with your horticultural needs.
We look forward to seeing you and hope that you enjoy
your visit.
